		Spartacus: The Renegade Regiment broke new ground in half-time performances as the woodwinds bounded into the stands during the dramatic conclusion of the show. Union placed 1st at the Oklahoma Bandmasters Association State Marching Band Championship. After winning the Gold Medal in Prelim Competition at the BOA Northeast Regional Championships in West Virginia, the Renegade Regiment wound up finishing 4th during Regional Finals - much to the disbelief of many. While out East, Union performed on the steps of our nation's Capital in the presences of Oklahoma elected officials. Later that year, after making required changes to eliminate their show's creative conclusion before Finals, Union's program took 9th place at the Bands of America Grand National Championship.
