Olympica: With all the pomp and grandeur of the opening ceremonies at the Olympic Games, Union's program duplicated the audio and visual pageantry of this special event. For the forth year in a row, and ninth time out of the past 11 years, Union placed 1st at the Oklahoma Bandmasters Association State Marching Band Championship. At Bands Of America Regional Competition in San Antonio, Union placed 4th, and at Bands Of America Grand Nationals Competition in Indianapolis, the Renegade Regiment took 11th place.
