Union RR History

Tribute & Suffrage - The Music of Elliot Goldenthal: Opening the show with a fierce drill presentation and commanding music, followed immediately by a sax-laden jazz piece, Tribute & Suffrage promised to be another fabulous show by the Renegade Regiment. However, this was not to be the case this year. Due to unexpected staff departures, the show naturally struggled to reach the high standards set in the past as Union headed into the competition season. The Renegade Regiment finished in 2nd Place at the 2002 Oklahoma Bandmasters Association State Marching Band Championship, 4th at the Bands Of America Regional Competition in St. Louis, and the season of ups and downs came to a difficult end as Union finished 24th in Semifinals at Bands Of America Grand Nationals Competition in Indianapolis.
